People Overview

The UGA-Tunisia Educational Partnership is an international initiative founded and directed by UGA Engineering Professor Takoi Hamrita mobilizing and integrating university, government, and community resources for substantial and sustainable international development. Partnership participants include higher education leaders, diplomats and administrators, as well as faculty, staff, and students from several universities, departments, disciplines and all tracks of the university system (teaching, research, service and administration), Government leaders, as well as community. The communal investment of energy and dedication is what has allowed the Partnership to continue to flourish.

Many of the people involved with our programs have done so dynamically, fulfilling different roles and thus furthering the holistic and multifaceted aspects of our partnership. To reflect this characteristic of our partnership, the website is also designed dynamically to highlight the people involved and the roles they play. You can learn about a particular individual’s involvement in our programs by clicking on any name under the people section, and the search engine will bring up all references to that person within the site.
